The Federal government is back open and the dust has settled in Washington, DC. We can now clearly see where the leadership came from to end the Federal government shutdown.
With a willingness to deal and a disinclination to grandstand, a group of women senators turned the tide towards bipartisan compromise leading to the re-opening of the government. To quote Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., “Leadership, I must fully admit, was provided primarily by women in the Senate.”
For their ability to make it happen, our Grounded Leader(s) of the Week are America’s Women Congressional Leaders. Their ability to tap into a higher purpose and foster productive relationships across party lines earns them the compliment of being “Grounded” healthy leaders.
